This Week at Remap

Patrick Klepek

It's weird when you hype yourself up for a movie, waiting for it to crash over you—and then nothing. I'd been prepping (emotionally) for All of Us Strangers this weekend, a movie that centers around someone who can (seemingly) communicate with his (dead) parents, and while I found it very moving, the tears never came. It's weird to be disappointed in a movie that I thought was great, merely because I didn't have the reaction I was expecting. Highly recommend the movie!

-pk, who's gonna finish up watching the excellent Monkey Man tonight

  • MONDAY: We often list this day often as "scheming," but in reality, Monday is a huge admin day for Remap. It's where we squeeze in doctor appointments, backend work, editing clips for social media, etc. It's kind of a catch all day, before things shift into earnest on Tuesday. For me personally, it's usually where I do most of my work on Crossplay, so I can then focus on Remap.
  • TUESDAY: It was a huge week for Chicago sports, with the drafting of Caleb Williams to the Bears, another reminder the Bulls simply do not have it, and the Cubs lost a game 0-17 (??). There's also a ton happening in the NBA playoffs, which gives Rob and Patrick plenty to chew on for Sports! this week.
  • WEDNESDAY: You'll hear Sports! if you're on the Foundation/Library/Zeal tiers before it hits the main feed later this week, and me/Janet/Rob/Cado are going to team up to check out Content Warning.
  • THURSDAY: We'll record Remap Radio. I'm trying to put some hours into Stellar Blade, and I finished Tales of Kenzera: ZAU over the weekend.
  • FRIDAY: The children...they yearn for Patrick playing more Dragon's Dogma 2. Fortunately, I'm able to provide it. This burden is mine. Feels like we're...halfway through the game? We're mopping up a few quests before heading to a big story moment, which I figure will unlock the other major area.
